About the demon cultist miniature — the trident of the Levantine pantheon

The trident in Astarte iconography is a deep cite. In the Canaanite Baal-cycle (Ugaritic texts, 14th c. BCE), the storm-god Baal wields a forked weapon against the sea-god Yam — and Astarte stands at his side, occasionally taking the trident herself in syncretic depictions (John Day, Yahweh and the Gods and Goddesses of Canaan, 2000). When Astaroth's cultists carry the trident, they carry the syncretic weapon of the Levantine pantheon's apex storm-deity, recast through the goddess. The bicorne-prong shape echoes the Phoenician forked-staff iconography from the Ras Shamra steles. This demon cultist miniature stands wide and forward — the priestess as combatant, the cult-warrior trained to clear the temple precinct of intruders.

Material and finish — SLA resin, primer-ready

Printed in UV-cured photopolymer resin at 0.04 mm layer height, post-cured and supports clipped before dispatch. Unpainted; light support cleanup on the trident prongs and leaf-frond headdress. Dimensions: 32 mm round base, ≈40–50 mm total height including the raised trident. Ready for primer and acrylic paints.
